Volunteer
Many Hands Make Light Work
With enormous gratitude to the many hands who volunteered in the past, giving countless hours of service and making small and large monetary donations that built the school and continue to sustain it.
Arbor’s reliance on volunteers is foundational. We count on parents to help with project work in classrooms and to support student learning across the grades. And, in a very direct way, parents and extended family help the school with the caretaking of our gardens and classrooms, offering their labor to help the school keep operating expenses low. But more importantly, we know that it is through working together that we come to know one another across the usual boundaries and so build a resilient school community. Working hard together to respond to genuine needs not only reflects the school’s philosophy, but also models for our students how we wish them to live in the world.
